How We Assist…

Phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension are the five main reading components we target to ensure students are accessing content and thriving in all subjects. Additionally, Cruising Kids offers coaching for students who need support with the following areas: organizational skills, study skills, time management skills, and digital literacy skills. These are skills that set students up for success both in school and in life.

Why Skills-Based Tutoring?

Skills-based tutoring focuses on teaching literacy competencies versus content. Immediately after sessions, students are able to transfer and apply those skills as they return back to their classrooms. Our literacy skills-based approach leads to independence and autonomy in all core subjects in school and even outside of the school setting.  Especially during our remote learning world, students need to develop skills that will allow them to be successful in all areas of their academic and personal life.

What We Do

Our Values

Community: We value all of the people who are involved in the lives of our students; this includes parents, teachers, service providers, and guidance counselors. We value communication and partnerships as it takes a village to support a child.

Excellence: We value excellence because kids are the future and they deserve our best.

Growth: We are focused on growth, so we are formally and informally assessing to identify progress.
